Tomorrow...

I have read alot about this subject and I love to read how others feel about this. Many people I know (including myself) talk about tomorrow as if it is going to be there. In fact as you read this you probably have plans tomorrow and not only that, probably plans for days or weeks out. Maybe if I didn't think about tomorrow I would LOVE and ENJOY today more, or maybe not . I would like to hear your thoughts about this. Comments?

LOVE THIS TOPIC:

The uncertaince about tomorrow, where will we be? There’s always doubt in my mind will I see tomorrow, will I be around to enjoy Family and friends tomorrow? So I try to live TODAY so that the family and friends will face TOMMORROW with me in mind heart and spirit.

This is true. The real time is the present. The future is unreal because it isn't here. However, it is good to have faith in "a tomorrow", but to live in the present and in joy. God is our eternal present, in Him the past has already past, and the future doesn't exist still.

Great post; just recently I have begun to focus on “being in the moment.” In my busy life it is easy to overlook my family and friends and focus on my career. I have come to realize that I need to be where I am at. This basically means that when I am with my family, I am going to devote all my attention to them and when I am at work, I am going to give my clients 100% as well. I find this helps create peace of mind and at the same creates lasting memories for me, my family and friends. Living for today is hard to achieve at times but seeing my son more is well worth it. Thanks for sharing and I wish you all the best, Jim

Good question! Lots of people spend too much of today worrying and planning for tomorrow. I am guilty of this myself. Just reading your post makes me want to slow down and be more conscious of living for today.

Great thought!Yesterday, when I was planning today I was supposed to be on my way to a camping trip in the mountains. The plans changed when we realized it would be a washout. It was a blessing as one of the children that was going with us got sick last night. God knew that child would be better in his bed than a wet tent. Im thankful that God see's what we cannot in our tomorrow.

"A good way to make God laugh is to tell Him your plans." We are never promised tomorrow. That's why I tell my family and friends I love them every chance I get. I try not to put off anything for tomorrow that i can get done today -especially spending time with my wife and daughter. When God gives you those Divine Appointments to talk to someone about Him -take the opportunity, because you may never get the chance to tell them God loves them again. Maybe that's why today is called the "present" - it's a gift.

Tomorrow? I used to live in "tomorrows" until I had two kids in two years and started working with bank properties. Now I just don't have time or energy to think of what tomorrow should worry me about. :-) I really like to get through today first.....

Today is all you have.

Think about it.

We never know if we will have tomorrow. Usually we realize that after we lose someone close to us. I don't take any day for granted, anymore.

I think we need to think about tomorrow, but never lose sight on today. We really should live every moment as if today is our last day, but still create goals for our future (30 day plan, 1 year plan, 5 year plan) - But I'm never going sacrifice to a point where I always say: "Well, when my business is finally successful then I'll do..." Nope. I'll do it now! Sometimes it's the little things that make our lives so fulfilling.
